This Apple Founder Really Hates Elon Musk, Why?

Steve Wozniak, one of the founders of Apple, has repeatedly expressed his dislike for Elon Musk, the CEO of various large companies including Tesla.

In his latest statement, he compared Musk to Steve Jobs, another Apple co-founder whom Wozniak knows best because they both built Apple from scratch.

According to Wozniak, Jobs and Musk had several things in common. In fact, he said the two of them were in the same category regarding their communication skills.

"I put them in the same category because they have the ability to communicate and want to seem like an important person and like a cult leader," Wozniak said.

"There are a lot of people who will follow them no matter what they say," he added, as quoted by us from The Street, Sunday (12/2/2023).

However, Wozniak confirmed that there is one big difference between Jobs and Musk, which is honesty.

"Steve Jobs was not a liar. He might say something just as a way to get you. But that's not being dishonest. You don't buy something thinking you're going to get a certain thing but you don't get it," Woz explained.

This, according to Woz, is the different trait between Jobs and Musk. According to him, Musk is a liar because he sells something with certain features, but these features can never be enjoyed by buyers.

"A lot of honesty is lost when you look at Elon Musk and Tesla. They robbed me, my wife and my family, taking huge amounts of money...with things they said they believed would be true," Wozniak complained.

Wozniak's point here is Musk's promise about a car that can run without needing to be driven, aka the autonomous car feature at Tesla. Woz has been a Tesla user since 2016, and spends a lot of money upgrading his car.

These upgrades are the cameras and radar that Musk promised to make his Tesla run without a driver, aka an autonomous car. This feature is promised to be present at the end of 2016.

But until 2016 the feature didn't appear either. Wozniak was again promised by Musk to bring this autonomous feature to Tesla, namely by upgrading the camera and sensor systems. Wozniak complied, adding eight cameras and a number of sensors so that his Tesla would become an autonomous car -- according to Musk's latest promise -- at the end of 2017. But failed again.

So while Wozniak thinks Jobs and Musk have a lot in common, such as both leading large corporations, there is one big difference between the two. That is honesty.
