Garmin Forerunner 955 was previously announced with a built-in solar panel that helps increase battery life up to 10 days. This not only makes it easier, but also helps eliminate user worries if the battery runs out. The Forerunner 955 can be purchased in Malaysia with prices starting at RM2,470 without a solar panel, then increasing to RM2,970 with a built-in solar panel.
In the latest development, there is an upcoming Garmin watch believed to be the Forerunner 965. It was found listed earlier through an online store in Vietnam, but has yet to be officially announced. It shows a watch with a large AMOLED panel compared to the previous generation.
This is coupled with a higher resolution support of 416 X 416 pixels packed in a 1.4-inch body. Then there are also various built-in fitness and health functions similar to those provided on a number of existing Garmin watch variations.
The battery capacity may be smaller, but Garmin is believed to extend the endurance up to 23 days in smartwatch mode. It then decreases to 31 hours with GPS mode. No further information about the launch date and official sale price is known so far.
