Various Media Companies Criticize OpenAI For Training ChatGPT To Use Articles Without Permission

ChatGPT is one of the most talked about forms of artificial intelligence today, as it can easily answer various user queries. Like many artificial intelligences, ChatGPT also needs to be trained with a large amount of data, and it was found that ChatGPT was also trained using data from news sites and other media.

Touching on it, now media companies such as the Wall Street Journal and CNN are said not to have any agreement with OpenAI to train ChatGPT artificial intelligence using articles and data published by their publications. This also violates the terms set by various publishers and media companies.

This criticism comes alongside multiple lawsuits filed against artificial intelligence-based graphics generators that are also trained using images without proper licensing.

For now, OpenAI has not released any comments related to this matter.

Usually, the use of data for the purpose of study, research or learning is allowed by various companies. However, when it involves commercially, licensing is required before it can be used by another party.
