Since the introduction of Wear OS 3.0, the distribution of Android operating system updates for these smartwatches has become slower. This is because Wear OS 3.x does not support Wear OS applications, instead using special applications from the manufacturer.
Not only that, the interface, features and functions have also changed with more application support, a focus on security and improvements that ultimately make Wear OS a fierce competitor to watchOS.
Later on Android 14, Wear OS will be updated with Material You customization support. Wear OS can later change the color theme according to the background image or maybe according to the color of the watch face. This will make Wear OS more fun to use.
With most manufacturers using Wear OS close to the original version, except for Samsung with their OneUI design – it's possible that this dynamic color theme feature will be offered to all Wear OS 3.x watches and not just limited to the Pixel Watch. But the One UI Watch Wear OS may also offer the same features, like the OneUI on their smartphones.
