Wilson Sporting Goods, a well-known sporting goods manufacturer, has come up with a variety of interesting products. They are also the official ball manufacturer for the NBA. Recently, they have come up with a basketball prototype that won't deflate.
This ball is a 3D Airless Prototype Basketball. This ball as the name suggests does not require any air and is designed to never deflate. This ball is also said to have specifications that exceed basketball standards in terms of weight, size and bounce level.
Wilson Labs, the division of the Wilson company responsible for producing this ball, uses a computer-generated eight-panel lattice design. For now, the 3D Airless Prototype Basketball will not replace the official basketball - but it is proof that the world of sports can still have innovation. This ball also still needs to be tested in depth if one day it wants to be used officially in all courts.
