Windows 11 Will Be Able to Control PC RGB Lights

Usually, RGB lights on PCs are controlled through separate applications according to the manufacturer. But in the future, the bright lights can be controlled directly in Windows 11 without a separate application.

Those RGB light controls will be part of Windows 11's native support for gaming accessories. So users will be able to configure RGB lights without going through a separate application.

This feature was discovered by a Twitter user by the name of Albacore, who found this setting in the latest test build of Windows 11. The settings include the brightness level of light effects, speed, and color. All of these will appear in the Windows 11 settings menu.

Microsoft also includes a feature that allows users to match the color of the lights with Windows color access, we were quoted as saying from The Verge, Sunday (12/2/2023).

Of course this feature hasn't been released officially by Microsoft, because it's only in the beta version update. But Microsoft seems to be working on a number of experimental features that will be presented in the Windows 11 update that rolls out in the next few months.

One such feature is widget support for third-party applications. Take Messenger and Spotify for example, which recently appeared in the latest developer updates.

In addition, the Notepad application will also be equipped with tabs, so that users can work on several documents without having to close the previous document.

Previously it was also reported that Microsoft would overhaul the appearance of the Windows 11 File Explorer. In the internal mockup obtained by Windows Central, it appears that there have been significant changes in terms of appearance. For example, the header section is simplified with a row of icons and a home button.

Then the copy paste button was moved to a separate banner below the header. The home button in the header is likely to direct the user to a page containing the recommended, pinned or recently accessed document.
