This is what happened in the viral tiktok video uploaded by @zaiem_ainn from Malaysia. In the video that has been watched 977 thousand times, Zaiem initially shows the chicken that is being fried in the pan using hot oil.
He recorded the video using an iPhone whose model was unknown. Suddenly in the middle of the iPhone video entered the pan while still recording.
The iPhone is in the frying pan for about 12 seconds and still continues to record. The boiling oil sound was also heard in the video for a few seconds, as quoted by Apple Insider, Sunday (5/2/2023).
Zaiem then lifted the poor iPhone from the pan and moved it to clean. When lifted, the iPhone camera that they still look blurry because it is coated in oil.

After that, the video was then interrupted and displayed another clip when Zaiem and his friend were in the car. The video recording was clearly visible, then Zaiem and his friend also revealed his admiration to see the iPhone still functioning.
In a separate video, Zaiem said the iPhone that entered the pan filled with hot cooking oil was the iPhone 13 Pro. He showed a black iPhone that was still intact and functioned as usual but the sound of the speaker was a bit strange.
However, it could be that the iPhone that has been discharged in hot oil is different from the iPhone that is used to record videos in the car or shown in the second video. Even if the iPhone can really survive hot oil, still don't copy it at home, who knows you are not as fortunate as Zaiem.
