After the launch of the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro globally earlier this morning, both devices with Leica lenses have finally been launched to the Malaysian market. In Malaysia the selling price of Xiaomi 13 is RM3499 for the 12/256GB model. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is sold at a price of RM4599 for the 12/256GB model and RM5999 for the 12/512GB model.
Xiaomi 13 Pro uses a 6.73″ OLED LTPO screen with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It not only supports HDR10+ format but also Dolby Vision. Unlike the Xiaomi 13, the 13 Pro's screen is curved on the sides. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip is paired with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM memory, and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The battery has a capacity of 4820mAh with 120W wired, 50W wireless and 10W reverse charging. A charger is included with every purchase.
The main camera is 50MP with a 1-inch sensor from Sony IMX989. The ultra wide-angle camera is matched with a 50MP sensor and a 50Mp telephoto camera that can perform optical zoom up to 3.2X. The selfie camera is 32MP which is placed in a camera hole.
The device passes IP68 dust and waterproof standards and also comes with stereo speakers and an infrared emitter. There's still no audio jack but there is nano dual-SIM support along with an eSIM.
Xiaomi 13 uses a 6.36″ OLED screen with FHD+ resolution with 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip is also used on this model with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM memory and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.
The battery with a capacity of 4,500mAh can be charged at a power of 67W wired, 50W wirelessly and 10W in reverse. It also passes the IP68 waterproof standard with stereo speakers. The screen and body of this device are flat and boxy. Completely different from the 13 Pro which is rounded on the sides.
The main camera is 50MP with Sony IMX800 sensor, 12MP wide-angle camera and 10MP telephoto. The front camera is 16MP which is placed in the camera hole.
Both come with Leica lenses as well as special features built into the camera app. Among the things that can be done is choosing Leica Vibrant and Leica Authentic color modes. Portrait mode also has several Leica modes with specific colors, bokeh and other interesting features.
Pre-orders for Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro open today 27 February until 7 March 2023. The open sale will be done from 8 March 2023. There are some interesting offers from Xiaomi in conjunction with this pre-order period.
