Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Nothing, And Honor Will Add Satellite Communication Support Through Qualcomm Collaboration


 At the Mobile World Congress event currently taking place in Barcelona, Qualcomm today announced the development of the Snapdragon Satellite technology they developed.


Through Snapdragon Satellite, it offers two-way communication via satellite on smartphones, especially under emergency conditions. This technology was already introduced before, and now Qualcomm also shared a partner that will integrate it.



According to Qualcomm, various manufacturers will begin to integrate satellite communication features on their smartphones, through the use of Qualcomm technology and modems.


Among the names mentioned are Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivol, Motorola, Honor and also Nothing.


For now, it is not stated when the next devices from this manufacturer will be introduced. With this announcement, of course we will be able to see a race in the offering of satellite telecommunication features on each smartphone.


Previously, Huawei was the first to introduce this feature on their smartphones, before it was also introduced on Apple.
