Content producers on YouTube need to choose wisely the background music they want to use in their uploaded videos. If popular music is used, there is a possibility that the video cannot generate revenue because the audio is used without the permission of the intellectual property owner. Today Creator Music was officially launched to simplify audio licensing.
YouTube users can choose to purchase a license to use selected music in a video. There is a second option to use licensed music with profits from the video shared with the intellectual property owner.
The Creator Music feature can currently only be used by creators under the YouTube Partner Program in the United States first. Licensed music can only be used once and only on YouTube.
