160GB Acer data stolen hackers but does not involve user information

 


Acer, on the other hand, was the victim of a cyber attack with 160GB of data housed in a browser successfully stolen by hackers. According to Acer, hackers access the browser used by their repair technicians to store data.



Among the stolen are manuals, software, documentation for various phones, tablets and laptops, ROM files, BIOS and more. The data was hacked in mid -February. All stolen data has been sold through the black market. However Acer said so far they have not found any evidence of the personal data of the user being affected by the attack.
