Salam Ramadan Mubarak and we are once again fortunate to be able to fast this year. In conjunction with this blessed month, Adidas Terrex has launched a prayer rug designed specifically for Muslims who want to pray comfortably while on vacation.
This prayer mat is made of light polyester material that is not burdensome to carry when climbing for example. It is also waterproof so it can be used as a pad when praying in an open area. The idea of producing this active rug is the result of Adidas Terrex's collaboration with the Muslim Hikers association and the Wiggle store chain. The incident of a participant in a climbing event in the UK who was not provided with a comfortable place to pray gave the idea of an easy-to-carry, durable and waterproof prayer rug.
In the UK this Adidas Terrex mat is sold at a price of £20 (RM109) with the first 100 mats being donated to Muslim Hikers for members to use when doing their climbing activities.
