With various offers to generate images from text as well as the integration of artificial intelligence, now Adobe is not left behind, and announced their own offering called Adobe Firefly.
Adobe itself already has extensive expertise in the field of imaging, typography, illustration and various other graphic assets. It is integrated with artificial intelligence, and makes it easy for users to generate images and use them for photo editing and more.
Adobe Firefly is offered in limited beta for now, and the price for its use has not yet been announced. It is expected to be able to be used with Photoshop and a number of other image editors.
The interesting thing about this Adobe offering is that users can also transform it in Vector form, or use it to create a template and then edit from it - something that is not offered in various image generation offerings today.
Adobe will also include metadata on generated images, stating they are AI generated. Adobe is seen to be more cautious in the introduction of this artificial intelligence-based product, including avoiding the use of images or other graphics for AI learning – which has now led to various court disputes involving other companies.
Adobe states that their models are trained using an amount of image data that has been authorized by Adobe.
For now, Adobe is simply opening registration of interest on the official Adobe Firefly site, allowing you to register and use it when it becomes available.
