Apple is expected to introduce their latest processing chip, Apple A17 Bionic for their iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max device series which will be launched in the middle of this year.
Recently, there are a number of reports that say that the performance improvement from A16 Bionic to A17 Bionic will not be very significant, because although the latest chip will be built using TSMC's latest 3nm process, it is said that the amount of production of the chip is not as much as expected, and also the performance is seen 20 percent lower than what was promised.
According to these reports, it is said because the FinFET transistor components used are not suitable for components built with a more complex process than 4nm.
Even so, this A17 Bionic processing chip is seen to still be present with better performance compared to last year's offering, but perhaps not as far as expected.
