Apple Once Again Reportedly Wants To Bid For EPL Streaming Rights

Apple is now once again reportedly looking to bid for the rights to stream the English Premier League (EPL) through their streaming platform, Apple TV+. This latest report comes via Bloomberg.

By offering access to live football matches, it is expected to attract more people to Apple's streaming platform. Apple today offers streaming of MLS (Major League Soccer) and also MLB (Major League Baseball) events through their platform.

In addition to Apple, several parties have also been linked to get the rights to broadcast the EPL streaming broadcast which has received many requests worldwide. Apple is expected to bid for rights to broadcast in the UK first, rather than globally. Currently, domestic EPL broadcast rights in the UK are awarded to Sky, BT Sport and Amazon until the 2024-25 season.

Could it be that Apple will succeed in stealing the hearts of the masses by offering live sports broadcasts, in addition to access to movies and TV-series shows through their Apple TV+ platform?
