Audi has recently launched their electric mountain bike, the Audi Electric Mountain Bike. This bike is built based on XMF 1.7, which is the release of electric bike specialist - Fantic. The design is based on the RS Q E-Tron Dakar Rally, which is Audi's special electric car for the Dakar Rally race.
This Audi Electric Mountain Bike uses the usual mountain bike design, but the components and color theme used make it look more striking.
The bike is powered by a Brose S-Mag 36 motor with a power of 250W which is suitable for a torque of 66 pound-feet. The frame is made of aluminum, to be light and easy to handle and the battery is 36V 720Wh. It's a shame Audi doesn't reveal details about speed, gear etc.
The derailleur, chain, brakes and derailleur are all from Sram and the saddle is from Selle Italia. Making the Audio Electric Mountain Bike different from the Fantic XMF 1.7 is having additional components such as gears and suspension systems from Öhlins.
Compared to Harley-Davidson's electric mountain bike, the Serial 1 BASH/MTN, which is sold for $3999 (~RM17,951), Audio sells their bike for $10,126, which is around RM45,456. This price is more expensive than the Perodua Axia 2023 which is sold starting from RM36,800.
