Jennifer Gates, the eldest daughter of Bill Gates, gave birth to her first child with her husband, Nayel Nassar. The child also became the first grandchild of Bill Gates and his ex-wife, Melinda.
"Sending love from our healthy little family," is written in the caption of a photo on Jennifer's Instagram account, showing the baby's tiny legs in an embrace.
Congratulations immediately arrived in the comment column, along with thousands of Likes. "Welcome to the world. My heart is overflowing," wrote the grandmother, Melinda Gates.
"Beautiful photo! Congratulations on your greatest gift," wrote one netizen. "Welcome to the world, little baby! May your family be blessed and happy. Happy recovery to Momma!," wrote another.
The gender of the baby has not yet been revealed, but it is most likely a girl as Jennifer has leaked recently. The baby is sure to become a 'sultan' because his grandfather is one of the richest people in the world.
It was previously reported that Jennifer and Nayel Nassar reportedly moved to a super luxurious new home in Manhattan, New York, to celebrate the birth of their baby. The house is worth USD 51 million or in the range of Rp 770 billion. The luxury 6-bedroom penthouse was purchased last month by an entity associated with Bill Gates.
Bill Gates has also expressed his happiness at the arrival of his first grandchild. But on the other hand, he is also worried about the fate of his grandson in the future. "I began to see the world through a new lens when my oldest daughter gave me the amazing news that I was going to be a grandfather," Gates wrote on his personal blog, Gates Notes.
"Typing the sentence, 'I will be a grandfather next year' made me emotional. That thought gave a new dimension to work. When I think about the world where grandchildren will be born, I am more inspired than ever to help everyone's children and grandchildren have a chance to survive and grow," wrote Bill Gates.
