To date, there are hundreds of new smartphones around the world that have been launched annually with various classes and sales prices. Each of them is also often updated with the latest innovation in fulfilling the appetite of consumers, thus increasing the level of sale of devices. According to Counterpoint Research, Apple once again showcased the best record as the best smartphone manufacturer and earned the highest sales worldwide by 2022.
The findings show that eight of the ten best -selling smartphone models for 2022 were iPhone. Through this, the iPhone 13 is a model with a strong sales and has successfully contributed 28% of the total iPhone sales and 5% in the global market. It not only shows the highest sales by 2022, but also has a good record when it remains in the first place from January to August 2022.
The chart was followed by the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the iPhone 14 Pro Max with 2.6% and 1.7% for overall smartphone sales. Five other Apple devices also occupied the charts including the iPhone 13 Pro (1.6%), iPhone 12 (1.5%), iPhone 14 (1.4%), iPhone 14 Pro (1.2%) and iPhone SE 2022 (1.1%).
Meanwhile, the remaining two models in the chart were won by Samsung through the Galaxy A13 model in fourth place with a profit of 1.6%. The Galaxy A03 is then in the tenth place with a profit of 1.1%.
In a similar report, Counterpoint also said the active number of smartphones in the global market was found to decline from 4,200 by 2021 to about 3,600 by 2022.
