Ekuinas (Ekuiti Nasional Berhad) has now announced the introduction of a new fund called DANA AAS, which offers capital of RM100 million to help stimulate the growth of medium-scale Bumiputera companies and at the same time have the potential for high growth.
Through this investment fund, Ekuinas will take a minority stake in companies that take this BASIC FUND, and also help in taking their business to the next level.
The BASIC FUND investment amount is between RM10 million to RM30 million for each investment - at the same time showing that Ekuinas will invest in up to 10 companies through this BASIC FUND.
Ekuinas is expected to hold each investment for 5 to 7 years, and will demonstrate an aggressive transformation of the company.
For now, the first company to receive investment under DANA ASA is the owner of the Kaisar Farmasi chain, which has been operating since 2013 and has 19 branches under them. With this investment, Ekuinas aims to reach up to 100 branches during the investment period.
