Elon Musk Recruit Ai Expert, Want to Make a ChatGPT competitor?

Elon Musk is likely to develop alternative chatgpt. The Twitter boss was reported to have contacted a number of artificial intelligence researchers (AI) to develop a research laboratory.

The information reported, Musk was approaching Igor Babuschkin, an AI researcher who had just left Deepmind AI, an artificial intelligence unit under Alphabet.

According to the source of the information, Musk approached Babuschkin to discuss the plan to build a research laboratory to develop ChatGPT competitors.

Musk and Babuschkin have discussed plans to form a team to conduct AI research. But the project is still in the early stages and there are no plans to develop certain products.

According to the report, Babuschkin told The Information that he had not yet joined the Musk project officially, as quoted by CNET, Wednesday (1/3/2023).

Musk itself is actually not a foreign figure in the AI world. In 2015, he founded Openai with Sam Altman as a non -profit startup. As is known, OpenAI is the creator behind the chatbot chatgpt.

The former richest person in the world had become an Openai chairman until 2018 before resigning from his position because of the issue of conflict of interest. Since then, Musk and Openai have broken up.

But, Musk is also known to have a negative sentiment towards AI. He had several times warned the danger of AI who was getting smarter and his threat to the future of humans, and suggested the formation of regulations to regulate AI.

This report came when the technology company was competing to launch AI-based chatbots. Google recently launched Bard, a chatbot that has the potential to compete with chatgpt.
