Since February, YouTube has been allowing content creators to monetize through short, TikTok-like vertical videos on their platform, called YouTube Shorts.
With this move, it allows content producers not only to generate income through regular videos on YouTube, but also through YouTube Shorts.
Now, after a month, a number of content publishers have started to openly share the income generated through the platform.
One of the sharers is Zach King, where he has earned around $2,918.10 through over 196.4 million views for his YouTube Shorts.
Jon Rettinger also shared his earnings, showing that he generated 12.5 million views, earning $591.43.
For now, it's just the beginning for YouTube Shorts, and the RPM rate for it is expected to increase over time, bringing better profits to content publishers. Many content publishers on YouTube are very optimistic, and aim for YouTube Shorts to offer better returns than on TikTok and other platforms.
As for yourself, have you made money through YouTube Shorts?
