FreeYond, one of the phone brands from China is now expressing its intention to enter the Malaysian market. FreeYond is said to be inspired by two English words, namely Freedom and Go Beyond.
FreeYond is about to launch several products in Malaysia, including two smartphones, FreeYond M5 and FreeYond F9, two smart watches, FreeYond Watch F1 and FreeYond Watch S1, including one wireless earphone, FreeYond Pods 1.
This entry into Malaysia is after an investment led by Datuk Chai Woon Chet amounting to almost 100 million Yuan was injected into FreeYond. FreeYond itself is a new company, and was established in June 2022.
In terms of offerings, it is seen to provide basic specifications and offerings. Both smartphone models are powered by Unisoc chips. There is no information yet related to the smartwatch, while the earphones are seen with a battery life of up to 30 hours.
