Google Messages May Support Reply to Messages With AI Feature

Yesterday Google has started to open the registration of interest to use their artificial intelligence service Bard. Bard will be a competitor to ChatGPT and has been developed together with the developer team that made Google Assistant a success.

Recently, 9to5Google discovered a new feature on Google Messages related to Google's artificial intelligence.

This feature is the ability to reply to messages with text generation by artificial intelligence. In the beta version of the Google Messages app there is a new button that they have found next to the emoji button. This button uses the same design as Google's artificial intelligence features such as Bard.

According to sources they believe that this feature may be a replacement for Smart Reply which can reply to short messages quickly and intelligently. The feature is also said to be able to reply to longer messages with appropriate sentences instead of word by word.

This special button will also not continue to send messages after being pressed and give users a chance to read first. For now, this feature is still not fully functional. But it would be interesting to see a ChatGPT-like feature integrated into a messaging app.
