Google Glass Enterprise Edition has been offered to industrial users since 2019. After almost four years of launch, sales of Google Glass Enterprise Edition were stopped starting yesterday, March 15. Meanwhile, software support will begin to be discontinued on September 15, 2023.
This smart glass can still be used after the above date but there is no more support for software updates and spare parts. Any issues that occur after September 15 must be managed by the user themselves. This announcement started speculation that Google is now ready to launch a new headset in the near future and possibly as early as Google I/0 2023.
Google, Samsung and Qualcomm have already announced a collaboration to launch new headsets a few months ago. With Google Glass not reaching its initial potential, a new headset could be launched based on the lessons learned so far.
