Insta360 which is the manufacturer of various action cameras now comes with its own gimbal. Through it Insta360 Flow was introduced and if followed it is the first gimbal of them. This gimbal comes in a compact size and is specially designed for smartphones.
It's even more interesting when this Insta360 Flow is powered with built-in AI software that works as an automatic tracking function. This is further combined with Deep Track 3.0 support and three-axis stabilization to ensure that recordings can be made easily and smoothly.
In theory, the combination of AI software and built-in Deep Track 3.0 technology allows the attached smartphone to follow the target subject in real time with good accuracy. This includes tracking zoom, slow motion and so on. It is also said to work with hands-free gesture control. Then the three-axis stabilization support ensures that the footage remains stable in various scenarios.
Users are also presented with various interesting shooting modes such as auto mode, hoop mode (for playing basketball), panorama, time shift, motion time-lapse and dolly zoom mode. All these modes can be accessed quite easily by simply swiping the built-in SmartWheel button, which is also useful for various other functions such as control and playback of recordings.
Complementing this gimbal is Genie Shot which can recommend the right shot based on the situation by offering up to 80 interesting template options. A 2900mAh battery is also included with the ability to function for up to 12 hours.
The Insta360 Flow retails for $159.99 (~RM707) and each purchase comes with a magnetic phone mount, cable, cover and protective case. There are also additional accessories such as spotlights and accessories available but must be purchased separately.
