iPhone 15 is no longer adorned with a notch, here's the proof

There are changes to the iPhone 15 released this year. The cellphone is no longer decorated with a notch on the screen.

Instead Apple will adopt Dynamic Island. This news actually circulated several months ago, but now new evidence has emerged to corroborate this.

A video shows the alleged front glass for the upcoming iPhone 15 series. It is clear that the top part is no longer 'bangs', replaced by an i-shaped punch hole.

If true, this means that Apple will implement Dynamic Island on all of its newest phones. Previously, this feature was only implemented on the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.

In addition, this will mark the end of the notch era that Apple has been using since 2017.

Along with this leak, leaker ShrimpApplePro also shared information regarding the bezels of the iPhone 15 Pro series being made even thinner. Plus, the subtle curves on the phone make it look more immersive than the current iPhone.

Previously it was reported that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will use the A17 Bionic chipset, the first iPhone chip based on 3nm processing.

According to the DigiTimes report, this new chip will bring significant performance improvements, encouraging iPhone owners to upgrade to the iPhone 15 Pro.

"TSMC's N3E (3nm enhanced) technology will enable a significant increase in specifications in the upcoming iPhone series," wrote DigiTimes in its report, as quoted by MacRumors, Friday.

"Suppliers involved in the iPhone supply chain anticipate demand for replacements for the 2023 model year."

The first-generation 3nm processing is predicted to provide a 35% increase in power efficiency over TSMC's 5nm fabrication used to produce the A16 Bionic chip for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The 3nm technology will also offer significant performance improvements over current chips made using 5nm fabrication. The smaller the chip, the greater the transistor density and the better the performance.

Apple is likely to be the only major mobile phone vendor using 3nm chips this year. Another DigiTimes report says Apple has ordered 100% of the initial production of TSMC even though it costs more. Meanwhile, other vendors such as Samsung are waiting for the price to drop.

The A17 Bionic chip will be an exclusive feature for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The other, cheaper variants, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, will use the A16 Bionic chip, which was previously used by the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

In addition to newer and more advanced chips, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will also come with USB-C, a periscope camera, a new design, solid state buttons for power and volume, and much more.
