Legion is a series of laptops introduced by Lenovo, and it is usually seen with a minimalist design, but houses powerful components. One of these models is the Legion Slim which also comes with a slimmer design than other Legion laptops.
Lenovo is seen to have updated the Legion Slim laptop series with new components, and this can be seen through the Legion Slim 7/7i and Legion Slim 5/5i models. All four models come with a 16-inch IPS screen display with a resolution of 3.2K (165Hz) for the Legion Slim 7 model and 2560×1600 (240Hz) for the Legion Slim 5 model.
Depending on the model chosen, these laptops are powered by a choice of AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS or Intel Core i9-13900H CPUs with 16GB of DDR5 memory and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage.
Both of these laptops also house the latest NVIDIA graphics card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 which is powerful enough to run modern games at high resolutions and graphics settings.
All of these laptops also come with the Lenovo AI Engine+ artificial intelligence feature that helps in automatically setting the graphics settings in games and gives users the best gaming experience.
Apart from the update to the existing Legion Slim computer series, Lenovo also introduced a new model, the Legion Slim 5 which comes with a 14.5-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2880×1800 and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
It is powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS processing chip and comes with the same memory and storage offerings as the updated Lenovo Legion. It also houses a selection of NVIDIA graphics cards up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070.
These powerful components also require cooling components to ensure that they operate optimally, and Lenovo introduced the ColdFront 5.0 cooling system that incorporates four heat pipes, the use of thermal compounds that help in lowering the heat of CPU and GPU components.
All of these Lenovo Legion Slim laptops come with a thin design of around 17.9mm and weigh less than 2KG, allowing them to be used and carried anywhere. With a battery of 99.9Wh depending on the model, this series of laptops is also said to have a durability of 10 hours on a single full charge.
Lenovo Malaysia says that the launch date and also the price tag for these laptops will be announced later.
