Microsoft Announces AI Support For Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook And Teams

 


Microsoft today announced they will bring next-generation artificial intelligence support to their productivity apps. This offering is called Microsoft 365 Copilot, and will support popular applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and more.



With this Copilot integration, it will make it easier for users to do daily tasks, including document preparation, as well as other related tasks.


Microsoft says Microsoft 365 Copilot will simplify and allow users to focus on other tasks. Here are some of the things that can be done using Copilot:


Word – write, edit, summarize, and create with other colleagues

PowerPoint – enables the process of turning ideas into the preparation of a beautiful presentation document

Excel – makes it easy to identify trends, display data well, and organize things quickly

Outlook – manage the inbox, and facilitate communication

Teams – Facilitates real-time meeting summaries

With this move, it is expected to change how people deal with each day, and allow people to focus on other tasks.


This Copilot feature is currently being tested among several Microsoft partners. The general introduction date is still unknown.
