Microsoft Edge Adds “Super Resolution Video” Feature – Uses AI To Increase Video Display Resolution

Microsoft is now announcing the introduction of a new feature on their web browser, Microsoft Edge. This new feature is named Super Resolution Video.

Through it, Microsoft uses artificial intelligence and machine learning technology to improve the quality and resolution of a video. Since it is integrated directly into the web browser, you can enjoy a better quality display on YouTube and other streaming platforms, especially for low-quality videos.

However, to use this feature, users need to have a device that supports Nvidia RTX 20/30/40 series GPU or AMD RX5700-RX7800 series. In addition, the video played must be at a resolution below 720p before it is increased in resolution, in addition to not being protected by DRM protection technology.

This new feature is present in the latest version of Microsoft Edge.
