Microsoft : GPT-4 Shows Early Signs Towards AGI – Human-Equivalent Task Performance

OpenAI is ready to introduce the development of language processing with the integration of artificial intelligence, GPT-4 recently. In parallel, a number of services have begun to integrate the feature, including Microsoft which has integrated it on Bing, Microsoft Office, Teams and so on.

Most recently, Microsoft also published their study and research paper, stating that GPT-4 shows early signs of AGI (Artificial General Intelligence), which is the ability of artificial intelligence to operate on a par with or exceed normal humans.

The Microsoft study also stated that GPT-4 was able to complete a number of tasks covering topics such as mathematics, programming, medicine, law and so on without any specific instructions. The performance of the solution for each of these tasks is also said to be close to human performance.

The research paper also states that with the various abilities of GPT-4, it can be said to be an early sign or a step towards AGI even if it is not completely complete. With the relatively rapid development of the artificial intelligence arena in recent years, it is possible that we will see the first steps towards AGI within a few years.
