Microsoft Wants To Launch Video Game-Specific App Store For iPhone And Android

Microsoft is now planning to introduce a dedicated application store focusing primarily on (mobile video games) on Android and iPhone.

Microsoft is expected to introduce their own offering by 2024, in line with the introduction of new legislation in Europe asking Google and Apple to open third-party app store offerings.

With this move, Microsoft is expected to offer content from Xbox and other partners directly to mobile devices. A number of games are expected to attract users to their platform, including Call of Duty Mobile, Diablo Immortal, and Candy Crash Saga.

This offer is also expected to make the game titles they acquired through the Activision Blizzard acquisition not exclusive to them, but also offered for Android and iOS mobile devices.
