The Minister of Communications and Digital today officially shared the news of the appointment of the new SKMM chairman, namely Tan Sri Mohamad Salim bin Fateh Din. He was appointed for a period of two years, effective March 1, 2023.
Mohamad Salim is the former Interim Chairman of MCMC in addition to serving as a Member of the MCMC Commission. He has also held various positions such as Group Managing Director of Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB), Founder of Gapurna Group Sdn Bhd as well as Non-Executive Chairman of Giant Malaysia and Non-Executive Chairman of British American Tobacco (Malaysia) Berhad.
In line with this appointment, the Minister of Communications and Digital, Fahmi Fadzil also stated that one of the first things he was instructed to resolve in line with his appointment was to improve the quality of telecommunication services, and to solve the problem of call drops by June 2023.
