No More SMS As Two-Factor Authentication For Twitter Free Users Starting Today

Starting today, Twitter will no longer offer support for SMS-based two-factor authentication for users who do not subscribe to Twitter Blue.

With this step, if you want to keep using the two-factor authentication feature on your Twitter account, you need to subscribe to Twitter Blue at a price starting at RM35 per month, or if you want to keep using a normal account, you need to use a code generator application such as Google Authenticator or Authy.

In addition, you can also use a special security key, but need to make a purchase for it first.

For those of you who use Twitter, it might be worth checking back on your two-factor authentication settings, and stay safe and secure from any security attacks.
