Nothing Ear (2) Certified To Pass IP54 And LHDC 5.0 Waterproof Level

Nothing has confirmed that its new wireless earphones, the Nothing Ear (2) will be announced on March 22nd. The latest CEO of Nothing, Carl Pei through an interview session with Forbes said that there are premium features that will be provided through these new earphones.

He confirmed that the Nothing Ear (2) will pass the IP54 dust and water resistance standard as found on the previous Nothing Ear Stick. Apart from that, Nothing Ear (2) is also confirmed to support LHDC 5.0 which offers Hi-Res audio streaming for robust high-definition audio quality. This is an interesting improvement considering that the previous two Nothing wireless earphones only supported the AAC audio codec.

According to Nothing's latest update, these earphones have also been tested on over 120 smartphones and laptops to ensure better system stability. Nothing will also improve the bluetooth function on these earphones for an easier and smoother connection experience in the future.

No other information about the specifications has been revealed so far. But Nothing is believed to maintain the translucent design and 11.6mm audio driver on this product. At the same time, it may come with built-in ANC feature and offer simultaneous dual-device connection feature.
