We previously reported that the Nothing Phone (2) which is a new generation smartphone from the company led by Carl Pei will be powered by a flagship chip under the Snapdragon 8 series. That question seems to have been answered after an entry on LinkedIn went viral showing that the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip will be used as the mainstay of the device. It was uploaded by Alex Katouzian who is Senior Vice President and General Manager of Qualcomm Technologies' Mobile, Computing and XR (MCX) Business who originally congratulated Nothing on the upcoming launch of the Nothing Phone (2). At the same time also clearly disclose the processing chip that will be used in the device through the same entry.
However, our review of the original entry found that it had been redacted by hiding the specific name of the processing chip. At the same time, Qualcomm also welcomes more strategic cooperation between the two in an effort to improve their respective services.
No specific launch date is known but it is expected to arrive around the end of this year with more premium offerings.
