Open Gateway is a fire for telecommunications companies developed by GSMA, Amazon and Microsoft

 


API or Application Programming Interface is an interface software that allows an application to connect with each other. This technology is widely used for top and offline software, and some of the easiest examples of using these API are as when you sign in to any online service using Facebook, Twitter or Google.



Recent, GSMA, a telecommunications body, which covers a large number of global telecommunications companies has announced the cooperation of 21 telecommunications companies around the world, including Axiata, China Mobile, Deutsche Telekom, Telenor, Singtel and so on have signed a memorandum with Amazon and Microsoft to develop A set of fire called Open Gateway.


These fire software is said to enable these technology companies to easily develop their own applications and services, such as service billing systems, customer confirmation, location tracking, use of ESIM and so on. It can also be used to develop Web3 applications as well as combined reality, which has been shown by a number of local telecommunications companies when 5G network tests are conducted in Malaysia.



Telecommunications companies around the world can also take advantage of the use of fire to connect to other networks, including for the purpose of roaming data connection and so on.


Cooperation was signed with Amazon and Microsoft to use the Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure services as an access provider to these APIs to enable developers to develop related applications for these telecommunications companies.


Currently, GSMA has confirmed that eight fire services will be offered at this time, including SIM card exchange, device status, call number confirmation, dual-factor verification, bill payment system, service quality request, and network routing.



The GSMA also said with the introduction of this Open Gateway API, the cooperation between telecommunications companies as well as the service providers needed to take advantage of these new technologies.


For now it is unknown when these fire will be implemented, but with the existing fire choice, it is expected that these telecommunications companies will start using it soon.
