OpenSignal : Average 4G Download During Suhoor In Malaysia Slightly Increases Compared To Other Times

OpenSignal has now published their latest data, comparing download speeds during the morning hours, which is between 3am and 6am.

Through the shared data, a number of countries with a high Muslim population are compared, including Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan and even Saudi Arabia.

Through the compared data, Malaysia shows an even average speed throughout the time without drastic changes. Interestingly, the data collected in 2022 shows that the download speed reached 18.4Mbps between 3am and 6am, followed by the highest average 4G speed recorded at 18.8Mbps between 6am and 9am.

This is in contrast to a number of other countries that recorded a drop in download speeds due to congestion and a sharp increase in usage during the pre-dawn hours.

In Malaysia itself, a number of telecommunication companies such as Digi and Celcom also provide special plans and packages in conjunction with sahur, encouraging more people to use the internet during sahur.

For you personally, how do you use the internet during sahur?
