Oppo Find N2 Flip was finally launched in the Malaysian market a while ago. The N2 Flip is the first clamshell foldable screen device from Oppo. In terms of design, the elements used are similar to a previous Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4, but the external screen is larger reaching 3.26-inch OLED compared to only 1.9-inch on the Samsung device.
The main screen is a 6.8-inch AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also equipped with several other additional features such as HDR10+, DCI-P3 color gamut support and a peak brightness of 1600 nits. Next, the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chip is used with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The larger secondary screen makes notifications easier to read and can be turned into a display to allow selfies to be taken using the larger main camera. ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 also includes various animations that can be displayed on the external screen to make the device look more cheerful. In addition widgets for weather, calendar, Spotify and other applications can also be placed on this secondary screen.
The main camera configuration consists of 50MP wide angle and 8MP ultra wide angle while the selfie camera is 32MP. The main camera lenses used are wide angle and ultra wide angle. Also included is the Marisilicon X ISP chip which is already known to be very helpful for better mobile imaging systems. Like the Find N2, the Hasselblad camera system comes with a dedicated XPan mode that makes pictures more cinematic.
A fingerprint scanner is placed on the right side for those who like to use biometric systems. One notable shortcoming so far is that the N2 Flip does not have any official dust or water resistance standards unlike the Z Flip series which comes with IPX8.
The battery is 4300mAh with a 44W fast charging system. This in turn is bigger than the Z Flip4 which is only equipped with a 3700 mAh battery. Lastly, Oppo confirmed that the Find N2 Flip will receive four years of Android version updates and five years of security patches.
Oppo Flip N2 is sold at a price of RM3999 in Moonlit Purple and Astral Black colors. Pre-orders have been opened from today 2 -10 March 2023. With each pre-order, a PU frame worth RM129, TWS Enco Air3 worth RM249) and a one-year Oppo Care warranty worth RM259 are given for free.
