Realme GT3 Now Launched For Global Market With 240W Charging Support

A few weeks ago, the Realme GT Neo 5 was launched in China as a device with the fastest commercialized charging system of 240W. Today at the MWC Barcelona 2023 event, Realme rebranded the device as Realme GT3 for the global market.

This device uses the same specifications as the GT Neo5, a 6.74-inch OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution that supports a 144Hz refresh rate that can go as low as 40Hz and can display HDR10+ content. As for brightness, the screen can reach a brightness of 1400nits.

The Realme processing chip still uses the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 on the GT3 instead of the 8 Gen 2, but the memory used is the latest which is LPDDR5X RAM that reaches up to 16GB while the internal storage offers a size of up to 1TB with the old UFS 3.1 technology.

As for the camera, this device is equipped with a 50MP IMX890 sensor, 8MP ultra-wide angle, 2MP microscope and a 16MP selfie camera. As always, Realme maintains their Street Photography feature this time using version 3.0. To keep this device cool, the Steel Vapor Cooling System Max 2.0 vapor chamber system is used.

This allows the device to support 240W fast charging to charge the device from 0% to 100% in less than 10 minutes. The battery used has a capacity of 4600mAh and the Realme UI 4.0 software also includes battery control features and features to ensure the battery is always healthy by supporting up to 1600 charging cycles. The introduced 240W charger uses GaN technology that can charge many devices including laptops at 65W power and other devices that require PD PPS charging features.

Realme GT3 is also the first Realme device to support the RGB lighting system. This system is called as Pulse Interface Design, where there are 25 different colors for the first GT Mode or notification. This RGB feature is also smart where the lights can change color according to device activity including low battery. This light is integrated on the camera bump on the back next to the camera on a transparent glass panel that also displays the Snapdragon logo along with other components.

Realme also claims that the GT3 is equipped with a special chip for the screen, so that 144Hz can be supported smoothly and stably. Making this device more focused on performance and innovation, GT Mode 4.0 is included along with Tactile Engine Pro. Other rare features included are an infrared sensor, and a brand new GPS system.

The GT3 comes with Dolby Atmos stereo speakers to ensure the audio remains loud, pleasant and balanced. On software, Realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13 is used which this time is similar to what OnePlus 11 uses with Oxygen OS 13 due to the same Color OS code.

For now, Realme still hasn't revealed the sale price and date for the Malaysian market. But at this MWC Barcelona 2023 event, Realme stated that the price of the GT3 for the global market starts from $649, which is around RM2912. The colors offered are Booster Black and Pulse White, different from the GT Neo5 in China with a striped pattern and more cheerful colors.
