It's been years since Android devices didn't include LED notification lights. If there is, it's usually on gaming devices with their respective RGB systems. Some people don't care about this feature at all, because the iPhone never included it. But I who receive a lot of notifications appreciate this feature.
Examples of devices that return the light system for notifications are the Nothing Phone (1) with the Glyph Interface system and recently the Realme GT3 with the Pulse Interface Design. Oppo also tried to bring back this feature on the Oppo Reno 7 Pro and most recently the Vivo V27e.
In the second development version of Android 14 that has just been distributed to Pixel users, there is a new feature that allows the device's LED flash to light up if it receives a notification. Like iOS, on Android devices this feature is also placed in the Accessibility section.
There are two options given, one with LED flash lights and the second is the screen lights up according to the user's choice of color. This feature is not new, as several Android device manufacturers have included this feature built-in. Only in Android 14, it becomes a function directly built into the system.
Are you going to use this feature later or is it more comfortable not to have the light on if you receive a notification?
