The Minister of Communications and Digital has now stated that the government is working to accelerate the expansion of access, including increasing internet speed throughout the country.
This move is in line with the government's target for average mobile bandwidth to reach 100Mbps by 2025.
The government has also previously set a target for 5G coverage to cover 80% of populated areas in Malaysia by the end of 2023 - compared to the previous target of 2024.
At the same time, the Ministry of Communications and Digital is now focusing on improving the quality of telecommunications, aiming for no more call or line problems by June 2023.
