The new feature of the iPhone Clean Energy Charging makes the user upset

The iPhone has just introduced the new 'clean energy charging' feature after the iOS update 16.1 on October 24, 2022. But this feature makes some of the users upset.

Reporting from the New York Post, Wednesday (1/3/2023), Apple claims that when the mode is activated and the cellphone is charged, the iPhone will get carbon emission data from the local network and learn when the right time to charge the telephone.

One Twitter user made a complaint to another Twitter user when he learned that his iPhone when making power became a little slow. This could be caused by a new feature namely 'clean energy charging'.

This situation makes users excited and worried. They chirped on Twitter about this new feature and want to find ways to turn off the 'Clean Energy Charging' feature. The feature is considered less qualified and upset the users, because it makes the iPhone battery full longer.

A user claims he does not care about carbon emissions. Meanwhile, other users want to find out whether users can choose coal or diesel power sources to charge their cellphones.

Other iPhone users see this problem as Eureka's moment. They finally got the answer why charging the iPhone recently became slower and made users upset.

However, there are some other users saying that when they turn off the feature, Apple will help reduce carbon traces or chemical battery ages when disabled. One user in the UK said that the feature was not available on their iPhone. At present the feature is available in the US and applied to active position by default.

If the user finds an iPhone to charge a slightly slower, it is possible that it is due to the new settings added by Apple on iOS 16.1 namely 'Clean Energy Charging.' By activating it, iOS will only charge the iPhone when the electricity network uses cleaner energy sources such as the sun or wind.

To disable this feature, the way is that the user must enter the iPhone settings, then select 'Battery Health & Charging,' Then turn off 'Clean Energy Charging'. The mode can work together with the charging that is optimized, because Apple studies the user's charging habits.

Users will spend most of their time and regularly to charge their iPhone for a long time. Apple said that the feature was not involved when charging habits vary or when users are traveling.
