Qualcomm has launched a new processor chip in the form of Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 today. It is produced with TSMC's 4nm technology with a performance increase of 50% compared to the previous generation. The GPU power is also said to be twice as fast with an efficiency of 13%. In addition to being able to maintain performance up to 65% better than other equivalent competitors when used for the first session.
To be more specific, it is an eight-core chip consisting of three Cortex-A710 cores clocked at 2.49GHz, while four Cortex-A510 cores at 1.8GHz. For photography, it supports a single camera sensor up to 200MP, dual-camera up to 64 + 36MP or tri-camera up to 32MP simultaneously. Capable of video recording up to 4K at 60fps with HDR support.
A 5G network can be enjoyed which also supports up to WiFi 6E with a transfer speed of up to 3.6Gbps. In addition to this chip also brings Snapdragon Sound support compatible with aptX Lossless for clearer audio capabilities without problems. Devices with this chip are scheduled to arrive around this month, with Realme and Redmi among the manufacturers confirmed to use this chip.
