This is Bluesky's Sophistication, New Social Media Created by the Founder of Twitter

Bluesky, the social media network created by Jack Dorsey -- the founder of Twitter -- is now available on the Apple App Store. What are the sophistication?

For now, Bluesky is still in invite-only status, aka you have to get an invitation first to be able to try it. Bluesky is a decentralized social media project backed by Dorsey.

This network uses an open source social protocol called Authenticated Transfer Protocol or AT Protocol. They describe this protocol as a unified social network that uses separate networks in a hub.

The AT Protocol is based on four ideal functions, namely account portability, algorithmic, performance and interoperability. This framework should make it easier for users to transfer account data to other Bluesky providers.

Actually, the first Bluesky was available in October 2022. But at that time this application was only available in the private beta stage for developers.

Now access is a little more open because potential users can register on their official website to be able to enter the queue list to receive an invitation. However, Bluesky did not explain how many testers were given access.

Bluesky was actually born as a project that is still related to Twitter, including using funding from Twitter, which made it questionable by users because Twitter was later acquired by Elon Musk. However Dorsey then decided to separate itself as a separate company.

"Freedom is a very important thing for the success of a project," said Dorsey at the time, as quoted by us from The Verge, Monday (6/3/2023).

From the screenshots in the App Store, you can see that the Bluesky interface is quite promising. Have different tabs for home, search, and notifications. There is also a retweet-like feature that exists on Twitter.
