WhatsApp is currently developing a new feature on their messaging app, called Audio Chat.
For now, the full info regarding this feature is not known yet. Through WABetaInfo's partnership, when activated, it will display the sound waveform next to the name of the WhatsApp Groups – indicating which group's audio chat feature is active.
Roughly speaking, this feature may be more or less similar to Discord, where users can activate it, then chat with other friends in real-time. It may also be more of an alternative to voice calling, and may support more users at a time.
Anyway, let's all look forward to further developments regarding this WhatsApp Audio Chat, and what features it will bring.
