Xiaomi seems to be continuing their car development drastically, and through the latest sharing of Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun, the Chinese technology company is aiming for the production of their electric car as early as the first half of 2024.
Today, Lei Jun spends half of his time focusing on the automotive business, which currently consumes high investment, including in terms of team size and development.
Xiaomi has previously announced investment and development of its own car in 2021. At the time, it was announced that the first electric car would be introduced in 2024 – and this latest partnership is in line with their development schedule.
Xiaomi is also quite active in the development of software, chips and even self-driving technology for the vehicle. With this development, Xiaomi is also looking at the robotics arena - considering the use of a number of technologies and sensors that are the same in both arenas.
With this healthy development, let's all look forward to Xiaomi's further partnership in this automotive arena.
