Today, the 5G network has been gradually introduced to everyone. With the introduction of the 5G network, various telecommunications companies have now begun to study for the next generation of telecommunications networks.
Prior to the introduction of the 6G network which is currently at the study and research stage, telecommunication companies are expected to introduce the first iteration of the 5G network, likely to be named "5G Advance" or "5.5G".
The introduction of this upcoming 5G iteration is expected to only offer faster speeds to users, while it is expected to focus more on industrial uses such as self-driving cars, drones, factories, medicine, etc.
This 5.5G network is said to bring more improvements in terms of low latency, as well as responsive network connectivity.
In Malaysia itself, the 5G network is expected to reach 80% coverage of populated areas by the end of 2023. Perhaps we will hear the development of the next generation of telecommunications after reaching the relevant phase later.
