Amazon Focuses on Company Health By Closing Halo

After closing a number of businesses under their umbrella, such as DPReview, Book Depository and several thousand of their employees, Amazon is seen to be closing another division, which is their health division, Halo.

Halo is known for connected devices that focus on the health of consumers with products such as the Halo Band health tracker, Halo View and Halo Rise all now no longer sold on Amazon's online store.

Amazon confirmed this, and although the products are no longer sold, they will be supported until July 31, 2023. It will take time for Amazon to shut down this part of Halo, and a number of layoffs will occur as well.

Amazon also confirmed that those who purchased these Halo products over the past 12 months are entitled to receive a refund for their products. Any credits or subscriptions paid with these products will also be refunded without any questions.

Amazon is seen to continue to close their various businesses that are seen as unprofitable for them, and it is expected that they will close and shed more jobs in the near future.
