AMD Ryzen Z1 And Z1 Extreme Chips Launch For Mobile Consoles

 


AMD launched the Ryzen Z1 and Z1 Extreme chips yesterday that are made specifically for next-generation mobile consoles. It is a chip based on Ryzen Zen 4 architecture with 4bm technology and equipped with RDNA 3 GPU. ASUS ROG Ally is the first console confirmed to use these two chips and at the initial stage it will be used exclusively by ASUS.



AMD Ryzen Z1 is equipped with a six-core ZEN 4 CPU and four-core RDNA 3 GPU. In terms of performance, this chip has a processing power of up to 2.8 Teraflops. Meanwhile, AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme is equipped with eight ZEN 4 CPU cores and a twelve-core RDNA 3 GPU for higher performance. This gives it a power performance of up to 8.6 Teraflops.


AMD Radeon Super Resolution (RSR), Radeon Chill, Radeon Image Sharpening and AMD Link graphics chips are also supported with these two chips.
