Apple Services Like Siri, App Store And Others Will Stop Working On Older OS Versions

A number of Apple services, except iCloud are now seen to stop operating on older operating systems, including iOS, macOS, watchOS and even tvOS.

Affected services include services such as Siri, the AppStore, and even Apple Maps.

Apple has already published a support page for it, stating that it will provide a notification to those using an older version of the operating system, and inform about this support.

However, it does not specify which version of the operating system it affects.

According to leaked information shared on the web, it is said that starting next May, Apple will no longer support older versions of the operating system, including iOS11.2.6, macOS 10.13.3, watchOS 4.2.3, and tvOS 11.2.6 – and those before.

The reason behind the termination of this support is not stated at this time. Apple itself through the support page states that iCloud will continue to be supported on older software versions.
